Answer:
Born January 8, 1942 in Oxford England, Stephen Hawking was born -as some say- into a family of intellects. Stephens’s father, Frank hawking, studied at Oxford University as a medical researcher – while mother, Isobel Hawking, was one of the first women to attend the university in the 1930’s (a time period when not many women considered college). The two raised four children together, Stephen being the oldest. While Stephens’s father would have had the eldest children study medicine at university, it was apparent from an early age that Stephen and his siblings had taken to the stars. In his prime educational years, it was seen that Stephen was bright but was considered to be a poor student. He was more interested in games and fun, creating games and making things – being on the go, and playing around. It was Around 17 when Stephen went off for university at Oxford, where he would turn down his father’s wishes to pursue medicine, and would approach majoring in Mathematics. Seeing as Oxford did not offer a degree in mathematics for Hawking to major in, he took on Physics and cosmology; and it was at Oxford that Stephen first experienced the “awakening” of his ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Despite his debilitating disease, Hawking would later obtain his Ph. D in cosmology with honors from Cambridge University in 1962; Hawking was 20 years old.
Answer:
My role model is Stephen Hawking as he fulfils all criteria for being the same. The man has overcome extreme situations, which no one expected him to, and then proved to the world that Einstein’s successor had arrived. Each and every one of his works has been groundbreaking and a pioneer in the world of theoretical physics.
His achievements are so great that one can just keep on writing. Every person on this planet, who knows who he is, admires him for his brilliance, his bravery and his ‘never give up attitude’.
Hawking is the smartest man of our generation. He is the man, who proves that ‘impossible is nothing’. He stared at death in the face and said: “Maybe some other time”. His is the biggest inspiration of this generation.
