Let me ask you a question "What is the main thing or the reason that had been a barrier in the development of india?"What's that one word which comes to your mind as soon as you read the question, is it poverty? According to me, yes! the one reason which is really a barrier in the development of our country is poverty. What does poverty actually means? It is the lack of basic needs that are necessary for people to lead a relatively comfortable life.Yes! And that's what isn't happening in the country. We find so many people spending their nights and some even their lives on street or in a very small houses. They don't even get their foods, clothes to wear and a proper shelters to live. In short we can see poverty is around each and every one of us but no one does anything for it. We think we are an audience in this world, but no it's not the truth,we are the revolutioner, we can change the world.

Poverty is also when a person is unable to make it's needs end. It can be ranged out from not being able to afford things like a good meal, decent outwear or running behind on bill payments and the inability to service existing debts.

For many of the people a life of poverty is one where an individual lacks money or is without material possession. The most fatal effect of poverty is on the poor people ,they mostly live from hand to mouth and have to seek for assistance to make ends meet.

Life has always been a struggle for people who are poor. They are faced with different hardships and are often deprived of the simple joys and pleasures that make life worth living. The saddest thing about poverty from my point is that a person living in poverty on many occasions does not have peace of mind because of always worrying about what tomorrow will bring.

A life of poverty is filled with great inadequacies and insufficiencies. Shortage of resources to the lack of basic needs, it is a constant struggle to get by through each hard day.

No one chooses to live a life of poverty ,but there are different situations that may cause an individual to live in poverty. These situations vary from people to people or some are universal to each and every person.

The most important reason for poverty is growing population of our country. When the number of people is more in a particular geographical area the level competition rises. They compete for resources, which results in the lack of resources and hence the people who miss out has to struggle to make their ends meet.Another reason is illiteracy, yes, lack of education in India is a great reason for poverty.

To earn, you have to learn!
But Indian peoples run after earning, rather than learning.
And, in India even the primary education is not provided to many people and hence many of them end up their life in poverty.

Caste system is still a fact in today's modern India. Untouchablity is still alive in India. Such people are considered inferior even if they have potential to find their way to succees, but they aren't given opportunities.

Gender inequality, yes it has not ended still. We may have launched many scheme and all related to gender inequality but there are many cases still in which gender inequality turns to be a reason for poverty.

There are many reasons for poverty such as economic inequality, labor exploitation, resistance to change, wastage of resources.

These reasons of poverty lead to negative effects in country. The most common effect is the crimes. Malnutrition, healthy problem, lack of basic amenities, insufficient food and water, stress and feminization of poverty are some other negative effects.

Can poverty be controlled or is it too late? No ,it's never too late for anything. We can still become a developed nation from developing nation. The government should give free education, government grants, focusing on employment opportunities, free medical treatments, family should be educated about family planning and the women empowerment all these can control and even end the poverty in the country.

The life of poverty is a curse to humanism. If a person is living a life of poverty then means he is not able to achieve some good things or happiness in his life. Every one is talented but it's just that they don't get an opportunity we need to give opportunity to all.

If poverty keeps rising then for me it's the end of humanity!
