The story of how each scientist made such astounding contributions to science is often a fascinating one.It takes a lot more than just intelligence or curiosity or even luck for someone to be a scientist. Scientists need passion, perseverance, drive, ambition, imagination and above all - empathy .

Scientists from the paired States/UTs have made pioneering contributions in various fields of science and technology.Scientists are the backbone of the society. They are the ones who have helped us in achieving so much in so little time. It is their contribution which has made life easier for everyone on this planet. There is usually a long journey that every scientist has to endure before he attains success. And, just like any other profession, it is not an easy task either. The need to stay focused and committed to one’s work even if there are times when one feels low or bored because of lack of interest or motivation is what separates a good scientist from the average ones.

The poor quality of education coupled with practical difficulties make it really difficult for people living in some States or Union Territories to get proper education about science and technology, mainly because poor awareness about scientific advancements among common man.The paired State/UT is one of the most beautiful places to live in. It has some of the most fertile land in India, which is used for agriculture. The State also has a rich history which dates back to over 2000 years ago. They have had many prominent scientists who have contributed to tremendous scientific discoveries.

He started his research into electrical conduction and communication using plants, which led to the development of crystal radio detector.Scientists in the country are working on a range of problems from development of vaccines to finding a scientific solution to India's energy needs. But how many of them know that there is a scientist in their own state who has made great contributions in science?

The government has been taking several measures to promote science education and awareness at all levels towards transforming the nation into a knowledge economy. There is also an increasing linkage between science and industry for innovation-led development. A number of science parks have been set up across the country with the objective of promoting research, technology development and entrepreneurship in emerging areas like biotechnology, information technology .It is the work of science to explore and understand the vastness of an unknown world. It is the beauty of science to make sense out of chaos. It is the strength of science to unravel mysteries and come up with revolutionary ideas.
