Rakshabandhan

India is a country which celebrates many festivals. One of the most famous festival is Rakshabandhan. This festival is celebrated to increase the love between a brother and his sister. On this day both brothers and sisters wake up early in the morning and after having a bath and wearing new clothes they worship God together. After that the sister ties a Rakhi on her brother's wrist and prays to God for the longevity of her brother. The brother also promises to protect his sister from any problematic situation and also use to give her a gift.

According to Indian history there's a story about Rakshabandhan. Once there was a queen named Karnavati. Some people say that the Rani sent a Rakhi to the Mughal Emperor Humayun, calling him a brother and asking for help. Thus her name became irrevocably linked to the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

The festival is not such that only siblings can enjoy it. But if a boy don't have a sister or a girl don't have a brother, then still any girl can tie Rakhi on any boy's wrist and enjoy the festival of Rakshabandhan.

This is truly an amazing festival which is linked to the true love between brother and sister.
