Then invert a glass tumbler over it.
After some time you will se that the candle's flame starts to extinguish.
This is because all the oxygen in the tumbler is used up by the flame.
This proves that air (oxygen) is necessary for combustion.

•Procedure- •Light a candle and let it stand still.
•Light another candle and put a glass on it.
•Observation - After sometime u will see that the candle with glass got extinguish.
