Recently I participated in a debate competition which was held in our school. It was based on the topic- 'Joint families are better than nuclear families'. There were four teams, two for the motion and two against the motion.
The event began with a great enthusiasm and all the teams were equally challenging. As the debate proceeded, the 'against' motion became stronger and gradually one of the teams won. I was also one of them and in addition, I received the certificate for the best speaker.
It was a proud moment for me and my parents and I look forward to participate in more such engaging events in the future.
