The Ministry of Human Resource Development formerly Ministry of Education responsible for development of human resources . in India Ministry is divided into two departments :- department of school education and literacy ,deals with primary Secondary And Higher Secondary Education education and literacy department of Higher Education which deals with University education , Technical Education ,scholarship etc..

The Ministry of Human Resources Development, formely Ministry of education (until 25 September 1985),is responsible for the development of human resources in India. The Ministry is divided into two departments :the department of school education and litracy, which deals with primary, secondary and higher secondary education, adult education and literacy, and the department of higher education, which deals with university education, technical education, scholarship etc. The erstwhile Ministry of Education now functions under these two departments, as of 26th September 1985
