==> Bacterium which is rod shaped is called rod shaped bacteria .They are also called as Bacillus. They occur in all types of environments, including hot and cold environments. They are seen in soil, water, air etc. Lactobacillus is a rod shaped bacteria.

SPIRAL SHAPED BACTERIA :

==> Bacterium which is spiral in shape is called as spiral bacteria. They can occur in any environment such as, soil, air, water, human stomach, blood etc. Examples are Vibrio cholerae and Treponema pallidum.
