- Kulaks: "kulaks" is a Russian term for wealthy farmers who were believed to have hoarded grains for profit. they were enemies with the poor farmers, so, during the collectivisation programme during 1929, Stalin eliminated the kulaks from the society in order to establish farms that would be controlled by the state.
- The Duma: The Duma was formed in 1905 on 6th August amidst the Russian revolution. It was meant to be the Russian parliament or a legislative advisory, Czar Nicholas II even held elections in The Duma. However, he did not allow it to be an official legislative body.
- Women workers between 1900 and 1930: The workers were a separate class in the Russian society and women formed 31% of the worker class by 1914 yet they were paid only half or 3 quarters of the wage given to men. This led women workers to go on strikes during the February revolution.
- The Liberals: The liberals were a group of people that wanted to bring a change in the stereotypes of society. They demanded a secular nation and a fair election for choosing the government. However, they believed that voting rights must be restricted to men and property holders of the society only.
