A family picnic brings together all the family; it helps in strengthening bonds and the recovery of severed and forgotten memories. It brings all of us closer together. Last December, over the Winter Vacation, my family and I went to a picnic. The picnic took place in a bungalow that we had booked for an entire day, located two hours away from the city. A plush and beautiful garden surrounded the cottage, had a large lawn running around the circle, and overlooked a lake.
When the idea of having a family picnic was in talks, it had filled me with an impending sense of immense joy and excitement. A family picnic implied a gathering of all my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and my parents. Since I have a nuclear family and stay with only my mother and father, the prospect of having my entire extended family over, gave me a feeling of unexplainable happiness.
