Answer:
Muhammad Husain Azad is a very famous personality in Urdu literature. He was the disciple of Zoq Delhvi, the famous rival of Ghalib, who was a very close friend of his father, Molvi Muhammad Baqar. Muhammad Baqar was a literary figure of that age and he launched the first Urdu newspaper of northern India. After 1857, his father was imprisoned and hanged and his home became a wilderness. These sufferings made him move to Lahore where he joined the office of education department. There he got a chance to prove his mettle. During this period, he also visited Kabul, Bukhara and Iran. Colonel Bride, the Director of the Education Department was a great admirer of his literary work and under his supervision; Azad wrote the second part of Qasas-ul-Hind. Nairang-E-Khyal and Darbaar-E-Akbari are his other works. In his last age, he lost the hope to live due to the death of his son and that was the cause of his death in 1908. He introduced the modern natural shade in Urdu poetry in imitation of English literature, but he was also an expert in the classical Delhvi style of poetry.
