If going on OPD , always try to reach on time.

Take your all relevant reports with you .

For children , always bring vaccination history , if possible .

Have some spare time in hand .

Always try to have someone to accompany you , always.

If visiting patient in hospital ,avoid children ,as hospitals is the place where maximum infection occurs ,chance of infection is always higher.

Always bring a bottle of water with you .

In case of USG , endoscopy , colonoscopy , they usually will give you time beforehand and list of

First and foremost, don’t visit a patient if you or someone in your household is sick. Runny noses and coughs have no place in a hospital unless you’re already a patient. Don’t bring small children with you either; they’re walking Petrie dishes.

Wash your hands! This is the easiest way to protect both you and the patient you’re visiting from infection.

Don’t bring in outside food for the patient unless you’re 100% sure they’re not on a specific diet or have any restrictions. I know you mean well bringing in their favorite food if they’re not eating well, but if someone has heart disease and you bring them chicken noodle soup you can make their condition so much worse with all that sodium.

Lastly, don’t badmouth the nurses, drs, aides, etc taking care of the person you’re visiting. We hear you and as much as we try not to let it, it will affect how we feel about the patient.
