First and foremost, don’t visit a patient if you or someone in your household is sick. Runny noses and coughs have no place in a hospital unless you’re already a patient. Don’t bring small children with you either; they’re walking Petrie dishes.

Wash your hands! This is the easiest way to protect both you and the patient you’re visiting from infection.

Don’t bring in outside food for the patient unless you’re 100% sure they’re not on a specific diet or have any restrictions.

While driving on road

Driving while tired is every bit as dangerous as driving while under the influence. When sleepy, drivers have slower reaction times and are likely to fall asleep at the wheel.

Speeding is leading cause of traffic fatalities in the U.S. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “Driving too fast for conditions or in excess of posted limit accounted for 22% of all fatal accidents in the U.S.

You probably know that driving barefoot isn’t the safest choice. When you’re used to driving in shoes, driving without them can feel foreign, and that’s not what you want when operating a motor vehicle.
