                             New Year Welcomed with Grand Celebrations

The year 2019 was hailed with cheer and optimism by the citizens of Panaji, Goa and the celebrations went into the wee hours of the night. The city saw a huge inflow of both domestic as well as interntional tourists this year particuarly to celebrate the new year.

The Governer or Goa, hounorable Shri Vemula Prasad along with the Chief Minister Dr. Prasad Mangueshkar welcomed the people for the New Year bash in the Governor's Bungalow. There was a grand dinner organised for school children across the state with academic and sports excellence. There was a display of fireworks at midnight, ringing in the New Year.

The mayor of the city Shri. Shripad Velingkar and his team wished the people a happy and prosperous new year.
