1. Preparation of soil: is the first step before growing of crop. It helps to turn the soil and loosen it to allow the roots to penetrate deep into it. The loosening of the soil helps in the growth of several soil microbes, earthworms etc., which enrich the soil with humus and other essential nutrients.

2.Sowing: Sowing is an important part of crop production. Before sowing, good quality, clean and healthy seeds of a good variety are selected. Farmers prefer to use seeds which give high yield. The process of putting seeds into the soil is called sowing. The tool used traditionally for sowing seeds is funnel-shaped. Nowadays a seed drill is used for sowing with the help of tractors. This tool sows the seeds uniformly at a proper distance and depth.

(c) Weeding: Some undesirable plants grow along with a crop. These unwanted plants are called weeds. The process of removing these unwanted plants is called weeding.

(d) Threshing: The process of separating grain seeds from the chaff is called threshing.

i) Preparation of soil is the first step during agricultural practices . It is very important to prepare the soil by loosening it before the growing crops. That allows the plant roots to grow deep into the soil during crop production. The loosening of soil help earthworms and microbes to grow in the soil. The top layer of soil supports the plants to grow fast. so loosening of soil help the soil nutrients to come to the top of the soil.

ii) Sowing means to spreading the seeds in the soil. Before sowing we need to separate good quality of seeds. Sowing is generally done by a mechanical machine called seed drill..

iii) including the crop some other plants also grown in the fields. These are called weeds. some time weeds are harmful after harvesting maybe it will cause disease and decreases immunity power in both human and animals. also it can fight with crop to get water and nutrients. so that crops can't get the right quantity of water and nutrients. so we need to remove the weeds from the field. this is the process of removing weeds is called weeding. wedding is done manually by the equipment called as KHURPI..

iv) harvesting the seeds manually done by sickle or by harvester. the harvested crop grain needs to be separated from the Chaff. this process of separating chaffs from the grains is called threshing. this is done by the machine named as "combine" in fact a thresher and harvester.
