Dear Mother,

It was an utter joy to receive your letter a few days ago. I am happy to know that you are enjoying life in good health and spirits.

I apologize for not being able to write to you earlier. Actually, I was as busy as a bee in preparing for my tests in English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To my relief, they finally ended yesterday. My performance in the test was very satisfactory. As you know, I am a bit weak in English Grammar. Presently, I have convinced myself to devote two complete hours to this subject every day and you know labour and hard work never goes waste. I am sure that I shall make up my deficiency in English, in the test. I also hope to get full marks in other subjects as well. You know that physics is my pet subject. In physics, I attempted six questions.
