Respected Class Teacher,

                                             With due respect, I wrote this letter to ask for permission for taking part in inter-campus debate competition, being held at (Campus or department name). I went to the event coordinator regarding the event and he told me that I need a permission letter from the class teacher/principle to participate in it. (Describe in your own words).

I am aware of the fact that the competition will be held at the end of (Month and date) which is close to our Mid Terms/Final.
