Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to apply for the post of an English teacher in your school as advertised in this week's issue of 'The Teacher'. As you will see from my c.v. I have the qualifications, experience and language proficiency you require.
I have both an external qualification and internal certificates from courses. Initially I obtained a diploma from the minister of education. In addition to that, I have attended a number of language courses run by the Jagiellonian University.
I have considerable experience in English teaching. For the last three years I have been a teacher in local schools. In previous posts I have worked with lots of children helping them prepare to their high school finals.
I speak two foreign languages well. The first, of course English. I speak fluently, having lived in London for three years. I also speak some German. I feel this would be useful in this work.
There are a number of reasons for my applying for this post. First, having worked as a teacher for several years, I now feel ready to take on the challenge and responsibility of being form tutor. Furthermore, I would like work with children. And finally I would also like to live and work in Cracow.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ.
