Subject - street light problems in my area

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I want to express my concern about the street light problems in my area. The street light is not working properly. It gets off quickly and on for 2 minutes. The people find it difficult to cross the road at night especially. Even many accidents took place. People are not able to find a way in the darkness, and they have to take an extra source of light like torch with them.

So, I hope my articles reach the concerned authorities and hope everything gets fixed up quickly so that people can move safely in the street at night.

Subject : Absence/Problem of street light in my area

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your newspaper, I want to draw attention of authority concerned towards the lack of street lights in my area (place name). This situation of street lighting in this colony is very bad. Tubelights are there, but they are very few. They often get fused and for months together they are not replaced. As a result, the whole colony almost remains plugged in darkness. As a result of poor street lighting, the incidents of crime are on the increase. Every weak, there is a case of chain - snatching. The criminal at once disappears in the darkness. Girls and women cannot go out of their homes because of the fear of eve - teasing. Because of darkness, accidents take place almost everyday, Last week, there was a case of burglary also. Taking advantage of the darkness, the burglars take away almost everything from a house.

The municipal authorities are requested to ensure better street lighting in this colony/area. More lamp posts may be provided and fused tubelights and bulbs should be immediately replaced.
