Sir/Madam,

This is Ritam Mitra from Class X-B and this is to inform you that I won't be able to attend school for the next 10 days on account of a strike at our place.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, all the modes of transport have been suspended in our native place for the next 10 days. I came to my native place for some family emergency but got stuck due to the present scenario.

I would be highly obliged if you kindly grant me leave for the above mentioned days. I will come back and join school immediately after this.
