To, The editor, Sub:Awareness regarding outlook towards mental illness patients respected sir, this is in regards to the way people see the mentally challenged people.this a serious and highly sensitive issue.people who are not mentally fit generally recieve a very rude and absurd treatment.instead they should be treated in a very very affectionate manner.this way they wont feel inferior.one of my friends toddler was a bit mentally challenged the child's parents were left isolated by not just their relatives but even by the people of the society.no child wanted to play worth the kid and people used to look at the child very strangely.the parents took up a speech therapy session for the child.soon the child was able to speak and the society's attitude towards that family changes completely.I cannot understand how mean can we be. in my opinion all the kids and every human has a right to be treated equally. thanking you
