Sir:
I am writing this letter to your good self to express my concern over the issue of smoking. Causes of smoking are many. One starts this harmful habit in the company of bad friends, loneliness, or by watching actors in the movies. These smoking scenes in movies depicting cine stars smoking has many adverse effects on the viewers, especially the youngsters. These scenes abet them to smoking.
Smoking causes lung cancer, cancer of the larynx, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. Smoking is not dangerous for the smokers, but also for the people around the smokers. The Government must ban smoking at public places to discouraging it among people. Through the medium of your daily I appeal to people and the Government to take strict measures to make our society totally smoking free.
