My dear friend

Thanks for your letter. You asked me about my favorite movie. Well I have many favorite

movies, but most of all I like the French movie City of lost children directed by Jean Pierre-

Jeunet and Marc Caro from 1995. It is sort of a horror fairytale.

The plot is about a mad scientist named Krank who lives in boring rig. He grew old too fast

because of his inability to have dreams, so he steals children from a nearby harbor and then he

steals their dreams from them. When he takes younger brother from a circus giant named One

(who is actually the main character, the One comes to rescue his brother with a help of his

new friend – little thief.

I like this movie very much. It is full of original ideas and breathtaking spectaculars. Jeunet

and Caro proved themselves as good directors while shooting it. I watch it literally over and

over.

It is kind of story you don´t see every day, so I definitely recommend it to you.
