Sir,

I write to you to express my deep concern over the misuse of media for the sake of publicity and promotion of sales in our country. Our country is a developing democratic country that requires a lot of initial careful monitoring and planning. It pains my heart to see the media playing in the hands of the rich and powerful people and organisations. Media has a very important role to play. It has to bring to light the truth about the government's policies, as well as the real goals achieved by it. But unfortunately media have become publicity and sales promotion tactic. The news channels air biased views to create a biased opinion among the public. Most of the time they are airing commercial breaks, thus luring people to buy products advertised by the companies.

I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the matter. I also appeal to the people not to subscribe to such channels or other media formats. I hope you will give space to my views in your reputed daily to spread awareness.
