As we have graduated from the university for almost ten years, I think we should hold a celebration on Monyu festival is a major festival of the Phom Nagas of Nagaland. The people of the Phoms observe four festivals namely Monyu, Moha, Bongvum and Paangmo. Out of the four Monyu is of most significance. The Phom Nagas reside in North East India with a high concentration in the Yongnyah village. The village of Yongnyah celebrates this important festival with sincere dedication and enthusiam.
