Sir

Through your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the general public and the traffic police. Ours is a metropolitan city. We cannot do without following rules. However, it troubles me to see that we are often flouting the road rules.

Whenever there is a slight opportunity, people break the rules. This happens mostly on those crossings where the electric system of regulating the traffic is not in place. Even educated people are seen driving on the wrong side to save a few seconds. More often than not this causes a jam and a lot of time is wasted.

I wish to request all the citizens to please follow the road rules so that nobody suffers and the traffic moves smoothly.
