Dear Friend,
The last time we met it was not in so friendly a spirit. We argued about many things and said many hurtful things to each other. The matter went up to the teacher and class was disturbed. I have been thinking about the incident, and I must admit I behaved very badly. I called you a lot of names, which I had no right to do.
I am writing this letter, because I cannot face you. I am sincerely sorry for my behavior, and would like you to forgive me. Our friendship is too valuable to be broken by an incident so silly as this. Please say that you have accepted my apology and let us be Mends again.
