write a letter on notebook

Answer:
Dear Notebook,
I know, I ran off with a handsome new laptop, and life was all fancy and easy for a while, but life is not the same without you.
Deep thinking is not the same on a laptop.
Pressing a pencil against your white pages unleashes a deeper connection to the words that come out of me.
I need you right now.
I’m getting in the way of my writing. My ego is standing over my shoulder, judging everything I write, before I have a chance to get my ideas out.
Writing, with publishing an article in mind, all the time, is a lot of pressure. The pressure to perform for an audience, in addition to not writing anything I deem worthy of publishing, is weighing me down.
I feel a block holding my words in, while I yearn to connect with my thoughts. My noisy inner dialogue has all these preconceived notions forcing me to stay within the limits of what I think people want to read.
Censoring my thoughts all the time is stifling my creativity.
It’s killing the joy I feel about writing.
But you, my pink notebook, don’t pressure me. Your pages invite me to write uninhibited.
