I would request you to kindly grant me leave of absence from School from the 18th of January till the 21st of January,2017, both days inclusive, to enable me to attend the wedding of my sister. While I realise missing school for four days at the beginning of the term will affect my studies, I assure you I'll put in commensurate extra effort to make up for the missed classes. At the same time, I trust you'll appreciate I have to attend the wedding of my only sister.
