This is to draw your kind attention to the headlines and the third page of your newspaper carrying the crime- news in the city. The rate at which crime is increasing is quite alarming. Abductions and rapes seem to have be­come the order of the day. It is quite baffling that in spite of the security measures taken up by the govt., there appears to be no respite. What is more shocking is the fact that these crimes are being committed in broad daylights, particularly robbery. Moreover the dowry deaths which seemed to have come down a year back, has again shown an upward trend.
It is difficult to say who is to be blamed, but definitely the police cannot always be at the receiving end. It is high time that we, like responsible citizen of India, should try to fight the crime with police help. Through the column of your newspaper, I would like to appeal to the citizens to stand up to this menace and fight it unitedly, rather than become a victim of it.

I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the increasing crime  in our city, Model Town Extension, and the police’s lackadaisical approach to the gravity of the situation. The incidents of thefts, jeweler and purse snatching, mobile snatching, eve-teasing are on the increase. There is an atmosphere of insecurity and fear in the entire city. No resident dares to go out after the dark.

our the residents of the city have lodged  to complaint in the local Police Station in which we requested the SHO for permanent to patrolling  the cops during the evening time . In spite of our repeated complaints, no action has been taken. Now I on behalf of the residents of the locality have decided to bring the attention of the concerned authorities to the problem through the medium of yours esteemed newspaper. I am hopeful that you will help us in bringing normalcy to our city by publishing this letter in your reputed daily.
