As we enter a new week with COVID 19 appearing to have community spread, CMS, American Health Care Association, and the New York State Department of Health have strongly recommended nursing facilities take additional measures to prevent the Virus from entering our facility. Therefore, in addition to the current temperature scanning, hand sanitizing, restriction of visits for those with international contact and/or respiratory symptoms the following are immediately being implemented:

• Children 14 or younger are not permitted to be on the premises

• No pet visits

• Nursing and allied health students must don masks when in the building at all times

• Immediate family members only permitted to visit with the patient/resident on the unit – no more than two at a time; and hours from 9am to 5 pm

• Solarium and other public gathering areas are CLOSED to visitation

• Large activity events are cancelled

• Religious services in large groups are cancelled

• Out of building passes for activities or visits are cancelled

• Hand sanitizers have been placed at the front entrance and all must wash hands upon entering the building

We look forward to your understanding and cooperation as we make every attempt to maintain the health and safety of our patients, residents and staff. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at 716-826-2010, Ext 1124.

Sincerely, Susan Grigg, BSN NHA Chief Operating Officer
