Dear Vikas,
I’ve been asked to write this rather presumptuous letter after learning that you’ve been playing truant and now suspended from school.
I cannot faithfully say I’m displeased, but our teacher is pressuring me and I value my neck, so I’m officially displeased at your so-called irresponsible behaviour.
‘Irresponsible’ is subjective and a matter of context, isn't it? However, it would be objectively bad for me were I to refuse writing this silly letter. I’m not as clever as you are at getting into and out of trouble.
You should get back on to the straight and narrow, whatever that means. Your truancy will lead to a life of crime, drugs, pandering, influence-peddling, moral and monetary corruption, and if you play your cards right a successful career in public office or international banking.
I write this in the hope that you will not forget me and that my loyal support of you during our time in school together would one day lead to some form of mutual support in political and corporate life.
Yes, I am officially very angry with you. However, I appreciate you are merely misunderstood because you have only been demonstrating an alternative solution to schooling, that’s all.
Everything will be fine. I know some people who can take care of the school faculty members. Things done will stay done.
I hope you will take my advice and quit mischieving.
