Dear Trishna,

Hi! How are you? I hope you are fine. And how are your parents and your cute little teddy? I hope everything is fine. My letter is not a regular letter but has some advice as an expert traveller.

I just heard from one of your letters that you are going to Mussoorie with your school for camping? Well, that's great! I wish I had joined you, but I can't and you know why. Well, hope so after exams, I would be able to join you up. And you know? I am the second highest topper of recently conducted trial entrance exams in my class. So, lets come to the topic.

Mussoorie I visited on 2016, and it is a wonderful place. I had taken a train from Delhi to Dehradun, and then via car to reach the top of the hills. Then you will see J.W Marriot, where I stayed. However, there are  many hotels. Then you will see Mall road, and many food stalls there :D. I loved to eat "Maggi" there because it was too cold at September. From there, you can reach  Kempty falls, do send me photos there! And then you can see misty landscape of Rishikesh and tour Dehradun.

And don't forget to take up these tips during your camping period:-

  • Keep your mobile phone charged. The battery will reduce drastically.
  • I experimented by eating ice creams in a chilly day. Don't do it, or you will catch cold.
  • Do not buy any street side open food. Eat packed food.
  • Also, in kempty falls, do not try to trek the mountains on your own. From there, you would also see the Mussoorie jheel. Do visit that also.

I hope I am able to give you a complete imagination. And don't forget to bring back a gift for me as well! Bon journee!

Your friend,

Sanjana.

Dear XXXX

I'm glad to know that you are doing well at work and are planning to go for your first camping trip on the last weekend of November.

As you already know, I'm an eternal supporter of camping and it's really exciting that you are taking it up. I believe this activity will be a good stress reliever, especially considering your high tension workplace. You'll be in a calm and natural all around you. There would also be an opportunity to make new friends with fellow campers.

As an experienced camper, I must also warn you of a few drawbacks of camping. The first one is the weather since you are going in summers, it can get extremely hot during the afternoons and that can become a sour spot in your trekking and camping experience. The other concern is the loneliness. A lot of first time campers feel the silence in the jungle to be a little disconcerting. I would, therefore, advise you to join a camping group for your first expedition.

Finally, if it's alright with you, I would also like to join you on the trip. It has been way long since we went on a trip together and this can be a great bonding exercise. It's just that I'm unavailable on November. Would you be willing to shift the trip into the for weekend of December ?

Do let me know if it's okay for me to tag along ?

Best regards,

Yours ever,

XXXX
