Subject: Appeal for funds for an orphanage
Sir:
I write to your esteemed self to seek help in raising funds for an orphanage that has been set up to provide basic facilities for the orphans of the city and the surrounding areas. The name of the orphanage is ‘Innocent Childhood’. There are thousands of orphan children who are forced to live a life of deprivation. They are deprived of the joys of the childhood. The worst part is they are forced to work for their livelihood as a consequence of which they miss their education.

‘Innocent Childhood’ has shouldered the responsibilities to provide for the education and other facilities for these children. Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I appeal to the people and the Government authorities to contribute liberally. Kindly give my views due space in your reputed daily for the noble cause. Thanking you.
Yours truly,

Sir,

I am writing this letter to draw the attention of the common public, through the columns of your esteemed daily, to a fund which is being raised by the 'Teresa Welfare Association' for the sake of the orphans. The orphans of this city are treated very brutally. They fall victims to different kinds of illicit activities. This injustice should be stopped and the orphans should be given the love which they deserve. Threfore, we shall be highly grateful to anyone who agrees to contribute something for the fund.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,
