Write a letter to a railway company complaining that your furniture has been damaged in transit and claiming damage
Answers
To,
The General Manager, The Western Railway, Mumbai-1. Sir,
On transfer from Viramgam to Ahmedabad, I had to get my things by goods train. I had left them with the goods clerk at Viramgam for safe transit. I was given a receipt for them bearing invoice No. 51 of 15-3-165.
Yesterday when I went to the Ahmedabad station to take delivery, I saw that the furniture was damaged-two chairs had, their legs broken, and the dressing mirror had a crack. I request that the damages be estimated and adequate compensation paid to me as early as possible.
Yours truly,
