To make a big change, it will be implemented at all levels. Cleanliness is godliness and kindness. Gandhiji also said that we need to maintain good cleanliness. All Indians should not only understand the importance of cleanliness, but they must keep their personal places and public places clean. Garbage and dust give rise to many diseases and also cause the pollution. Clean air will improved the health conditions of all people. It will promote unity and fraternity because everyone will be working for the same reason. Cleanliness also gives people a sense of pride in their country.

I am writing this letter to share my views about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. I strongly feel it is a great initiative started by Prime Minister Narender Modi on October 2, 2014. The campaign aims to make India neat, clean, and green by instilling in people a sense of responsibility towards personal and public cleanliness and hygiene.
This campaign can be implemented effectively if all the people take part in it enthusiastically. We must start the cleanliness drive from our own home and surroundings. Our zeal and enthusiasm for the cleanliness drive is useless, if our own home and surroundings are unclean, and we are spending hours cleaning the streets in other areas.
The best way to begin this cleanliness drive is your own room, your own cupboard, your own toilet, your own kitchen, your own garbage. Do you keep your own room and surroundings clean? Are you able to maintain the cleanliness around you? If you really do, you feel the satisfaction and contentment of being clean! Now you can lend a helping hand and your expertise in keeping the neighborhood clean! This is how we must go about this cleanliness drive. Remember, only a lit candle can light other unlit candles. Similarly, people who keep themselves clean and their surroundings clean, can help other people to achieve cleanliness objectives.
Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal all to make this programme a great success.
