Sir,

Subject: Complain about the cut down of the water supply Dumdum.

Recently there was a waterline work going on from the 28th of October to the 30th of October. However it has been two weeks since the work has been over. But till now there is no water supply to the area. As a result the local people have to travel a distance of 5 kms everyday to get the supply of clean water. There has been problem taking bath, washing clothes and even drinking water. As a result many people are falling sick in our area due to consumption of water from the nearby ponds.

I shall be highly obliged if you kindly look into the matter.

Thanking you!!

Yours faithfully,

Rohit Kumar.

Sub: Shortage of Water Supply in Our Locality

Dear Sir:

I, a resident Green Avenue, on behalf of the residents of the area, write to your esteemed self to request you to look into the problem of irregular and inadequate water supply in our area due to breakage of water supply line.  As a result the residents of Green Avenue have been facing severe water shortage for many weeks. Housewives don't have enough water for washing, cooking, cleaning, etc.

The residents are forced to make alternative arrangements for water supply by hiring water tankers. We have already written letters to Water Supply Department but to no avail. By the time the Water Supply Department is able to provide permanent water supply, potable water can be supplied to the colony through portable tankers. There is another solution. The colony’s water supply can be temporarily connected to the Sarabha Nagar water supply system.

I on behalf of all the residents appeal to you to look into the problem and relieve us of the inconvenience we have been facing. We shall be exceedingly thankful for the prompt solution to our distress.   Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Raghav Sharma
