Write a letter to bank manager for cash deposited in wrong account number

Dear Mr. Smith,

I am very sorry, but I went to the bank today and I wrote down a few digits in my bank account number wrong.  I was trying to deposit $170 in my account, but because I wrote a few numbers wrong, I gave the money to someone else.  Is there any way I can get the money back?  If not, that is okay, I guess. Again, I am so sorry about this and any inconvenience I may have caused.
