Sub:  Increasing Crime Rate in Our Locality.

Sir

I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the increasing crime rate in our locality, Model Town Extension, and the police’s lackadaisical approach to the gravity of the situation. The incidents of thefts, jewellery and purse snatching, mobile snatching, eve-teasing are on the increase. There is an atmosphere of insecurity and fear in the entire locality. No resident dares to go out after the dark.

We the residents of the locality have lodged a written complaint with the local Police Station in which we requested the SHO for permanent patrolling by the cops during the evening. In spite of our repeated complaints, no action has been taken. Now I on behalf of the residents of the locality have decided to bring the attention of the concerned authorities to the problem through the medium of your esteemed newspaper. I am hopeful that you will help us in bringing normalcy to our locality by publishing this letter in your reputed daily.

I write to your esteemed self to express my deep worry over the increasing offence rate in our locality, Connaught Place
Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi. The occurrence of purse snatching, mobile snatching, thefts, jewellery, and eve-teasing are also increasing. There is an atmosphere of insecurity and terror in the whole locality. No resident dares to go out after the dark.

Many complaints were lodged in the Police Station by the residents of the locality. We requested the SHO for permanent patrolling by the cops during the evening, but in spite of our best efforts, no action has been taken. Now I have decided to bring the awareness of the worried authorities to the issue through the medium of your respected newspaper. I am hopeful that you will help us in bringing normalcy to our locality by publishing this letter in your reputed daily.

I hope my genuine concern will draw the attention of the authority, as all the residents deserve to live in a safe and secure place.
