Dear Sir,
The buses running in the state of Punjab tell a sad tale. It is pity that even long-route buses are in a pitiable condition. The buses owned by the government are found, more often than not, in an ill-managed state. New buses put on the road give no complaint. But once a bus becomes a year or so old, its maintenance becomes a problem. The windowpanes are found missing and in many cases these are found jammed. During winter or in rainy season, it becomes difficult to travel in such buses. Seats in some of the buses are in a bad shape.
Most of the old buses plying on long routes are seldom on time. Sometimes the engine goes out of order and sometimes the Tyre gets burts. Thus passengers are stranded on the way. The condition of children and ladies travelling by such buses becomes pitiable. No wonder, some passengers prefer travelling by buses owned by private companies.
Through these columns I request the authorities to look into the matter and redress the grievances of the passengers.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
