Reckless driving by both the licences and unlicenced drivers of buses, lorries, auto- rickshaws, and two wheelers has been the order of the day. The traffic police in many cases are mere onlookers. The rivalry among bus drivers in their attempts to overtake one another, causes accidents, claiming a heavy toll of lives almost everyday.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would request the government to look into the matter and ensure the safe journey of the passengers and the security of the pedestrians.
