Sir:
Students’ casual approach towards studies is a matter of great concern. The academic standards are declining. Parents and teachers are concerned about the rampant and widespread neglect of studies by the children.
At school they remain exceedingly distracted, prone to chatting with their desk mates; the motivation and zeal to study and excel academically is alarming dwindling.
At home too, they shun studies. They prefer watching TV or using mobile phones. It is an alarming sign. Teachers and elders must look into it and encourage them to study enthusiastically; on the academic excellence depends the speed of development. I appeal to the educationists to modify teaching learning strategy to intrigue students toward studies.
