Subject : Electricity breakdowns

Sir,

I wish to invite your kind attention to the bad and irregular supply of electricity in our locality. In fact, it has gone from bad to worse. Previously, there used to be cuts in the supply. Now longer cuts have caused great suffering to the people.

Now, it seems , those were better days, for at least one knew when there was a cut. Now it is the sweet will if the Board. It may decide to punish the inhabitants at the dead of the night while they are sleeping under a fan.

The supply is cut at night and it does not resume for the rest of the night. In brief it is highly irregular and erratic.

Without electricity in the morning, there is no supply of tap - water too. So it is not unusual not to have a drop of water on some mornings. Life has become really very painful.

The school and college examinations are at hand. The poor students have no light to study at night.

I request the authorities to look into the matter and improve the situation.
