Dear Editor, 
                As the elections are drawing near, I want to put your attention towards the issues connected to it. You might have seen the huge campaigns the political parties are conducting huge election campaigns. In these campaigns, a lot of capital is being invested as well huge number of labor is hired. 

These campaign would last no longer than a month or so. Yet, the money that has been invested would not be recovered. The money spent on pamphlets, posters, rallies, public meetings etc will not come back. This money can be used in something positive or a social cause. 

The people hired for the election campaigns would have temporary employment. After the elections they would lose their jobs and source of income. This will affect their lives negatively. They will have to search for new jobs and some might not find any. 

As a whole, I think election campaigns can be simple and should be for the benefit of the people, than expensive processions and displays. I write to you with the hope that your newspaper would raise their voice over this predicament. 

I think that you and your team through the prestigious articles of your newspaper can reach out to more people. You have the power to form opinion of the people which can be used in a positive manner.
