Sub: Bad effects of road-side foods on health

Respected Sir,

Through your esteemed daily I would like to express my deepest concerns about bad effects of road-side foods on health in our locality that has made the lives of the people living here detrimental.

The roadside foods are very unhygienic. We find many food stalls selling cut fruits and junk foods. These type of stalls are mushrooming near the schools and colleges. Cheap and tasty junk foods always attract everyone..But they are actually bad for health. Sometimes chemical-rich foods and even rotten animal foods are also served as per news break of Kolkata. These foods are dangerous and poisonous to health. It may lead to permanent impact on stomach, lever and other organs. The problem is increasing day by day.

I would therefore,on behalf of the residents of our locality, request the authorities and policy makers and common people to leave no stone unturned to create awareness among all on immediate basis without any further delay so that health always stays first priority above all.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Sir,

Subject: The adverse effect of our present lifestyle on our health

I am a regular reader of your esteemed national daily, and would like to draw the attention to the adverse effects, that our present lifestyle and habits have on our health, through the columns of your newspaper. In a world of growing populace, catering to the demands and needs, has been a difficult task. To make up for the lack of healthy viable options, there are a host of products out there that harm us more than they satiate our hunger, or needs. Be it the artificial ripening of fruits, pesticides and toxins in our food and soft drinks, or the unhygienic food sold at restaurants and street stalls, the list is never ending. We even have chemicals in our cosmetic products, that are tested on helpless animals first, hence our greed is not only harming us but even the fauna around.

It is the need of the hour, that we must do away with such practices, products and adopt a healthier lifestyle, so that it ensures the sustenance of not only mankind, but also our environment.

Your sincerely ,

Deepak sharma
