I have since pulled my child out of school right now because he is scared to death to go back and in his words "I will most likely be killed."This is not what a child needs to be learning at school.  They are supposed to be learning reading, writing and, arithmetic, but beyond that, tolerance and acceptance of people and their differences.  I ask you, as a parent, or relative, or friend: What if your child was the victim here?  What if they already are and you do not know?  What if you do know, but don't know what to do about it?You see, I have asked my son, as well as the school principal, why did you not tell someone at the school?  His simple answer..." No one believes me," or "No one cares to do anything about it."  He even claims that school officials are around when said acts of violence occur and just look on, as if nothing is going on.Again, I ask ... what would you do as a parent? I am scared not only for my own son, who has voiced to me these problems, but for other children, who do not have a voice and are being victimized daily by these bullies.  Bullying has to stop!!  What is it going to take?  We do not need some child (or irate relative) coming to the school one day and shooting people because they feel they that is the only way to stop what's going on. We do not need children, thinking or committing suicide because of the mistreatment by peers and the seeming disregard by adults to help them.  We need action by adults to stop this victimizing in its tracks and make the schools a safe place for EVERYONE.I plead to you now, listen to the children.  If you hear, or see signs that they are being victimized, step up and take action.  Do not ignore them, or tell them it is kids being kids.  Bullying is not a right of childhood.  It is unacceptable behavior, and no one should have to deal with it.Jennifer MayerMt. Subject- Letter to draw attention to bullying and ragging in schools and colleges.

With due respect, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority towards the issue of bullying and ragging in schools and colleges. It is because of this reason that many cases of suicides and depression have been witnessed. In order to avoid such cases, serious and immediate action needs to be taken at the earliest. I hope that this issue would be looked upon by the concerned authority as soon as possible.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours truly

XYZ
