Sub: Increasing Suicide Cases of Farmers and Some Suggestions
Dear Sir:
I am writing to your good self to express my deep anguish over the problem of increasing cases of suicide by deb-trapped farmers. Approximately 12000 farmers commit suicide every year owing to debts. This is a very sorry state. These suicides are blemish on our country. How can we claim to be a progressive nation if farmers, the food producers keep committing suicides like this.
The Governments at the state and central level must look into it and take prompt measures to curb these suicides. The Government must have a system to track and identify farmers whose economic condition is very poor and debts and loans of such farmers should either be exempted or repayment time should be extended. Kindly give my ideas some space in your reputed daily.
Yours truly,

Respected Sir,
Today I would like to draw your attention towards the farmer's suicide. The poor farmers do not earn enough money to take care of their families. They take loansdebt from zamindars. But the zamindars exploit them. They force them to payback money without giving much the farmer's time to arrange money. Here I would like to suggest that some financial institutions must come up with easy loan schemes where the poor farmers may get some relaxation in the scheme or maybe some policies for farmers where they get compensation if the crop is spoiled.
The burden of debt is way too much then the actual money they recieve.Maybe it's high time that we start to think about the poor farmers who work. so hard to feed us.Kindly publish an article on this topic in your esteemed newspaper.
Thanking you
