Dear India..

I don’t know what I am feeling. There is plenty of things in the bottom of my heart and I think you must be feeling the same way. You have broken the chain of slavery 6 decades ago. But do you feel like being free? The citizens of this country are free but not you my mother..nor me..your son. Here is Constitution,Parliament, law and order not to make your children free but to rule them. Becoming slaves of our own blood is dream which haunts me the most these days. Everyone is desperate to hike power by selling all the sacrifices of your brave kids. Politicians are blaming each other without caring if someone is doing right or wrong. Bureaucrats are taking bribes and government employees getting good salary are making poor people cry for their ‘cut’. Breakup and link ups of celebs occupying a large area of front page and sacrifice of soldiers is being ignored. Persons who are capable are shifting abroad. But I don’t want to leave you there is no escape from the heat of fire which is burning my home. I’m not going to leave you. I don’t know how much capable I’m but I will wipe your tears till my last drop of blood. I promise.

Dear Motherland:

I hope this letter finds you

progressing and developing. I am writing this letter to thank you from the core

of my heart for everything! You have given me the gift of life. I walk on your

surface; I eat the food from your crops; I eat the fruits grown in your

orchards. Thanks for the sunlight; the rivers, the oceans; snow-capped

mountains. You have been a great motherland.

I promise you I will endeavor to

bring honor and glory with my sincere efforts. I will not do anything that

might tarnish your image. I will never forget that you bore sufferings in the

shackles of intruders. I will remember you give your everything in nurturing

millions of your sons and daughters. Thanks my dear motherland. I love you. May

you always prosper and be safe!

Your loving daughter,

An Indian
