VADNAIS HEIGHTS — I am a student at White Bear Lake South Campus High School. I wrote this letter because I think our community can make a difference together to stop deforestation.
Deforestation has many negative impacts on our community. It is harming animal habitats and releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Deforestation is clearing out trees.
Deforestation arose because of humans’ need to make more room for farmland, businesses and industrial logging.
This is important because we deny many animals of their habitats by chopping down trees. They cannot survive the deforestation because they have no place to hide from predators and no shelter to live in during dangerous weather. Trees are a source that provide life for animals; they give them shelter and food.
