Dear Sir,
Ever since the lockdown, we have been advised of keeping social distance, taking a cue from the nations which saw a sudden increase in the spread of coronavirus due to a lack of social distancing. As a matter of fact, it is indispensable considering the increase in the number of people getting infected in Southern districts of Tamil as well. To tell the truth, vegetable shops in particular where different vegetables are displayed next to one another are visited by regular customers and new buyers considering that many mutton and fish stalls do not have much meat and fish and hence, the high prices. Kanniyakumari district, whose people’s staple food is fish, is devoid of it as the selling of the same is not allowed these days. Hence, with the increasing purchase of vegetables, it is mandatory that social distance is followed strictly. The vegetable shop keepers are at a loss to know how to deal with it as they think that they are likely to earn the wrath of their regular customers if they keep the latter waiting for long by letting just one or two customers go inside the shops at a time to pick the vegetables of their choice. What is the need of the hour is that the customers ought to comprehend the need for social distancing and practise it accordingly.
Therefore, I request you to increase police patrolling in our area where there are many shops so that social distancing may be maintained.
Yours truly

Subject- Regarding theft attempt in house number 684 on 5 September 2020
Sir
I hereby write this letter to inform you that there was an attempted theft in my house, numbered 684 during the afternoon hours of 5 September 2020.
The thief tried to break in through the back entrance, after climbing down from the roof. Fortunately, he was seen by the neighbour who informed us on time. My wife and daughter were alarmed and informed the society guard. However, the guard was unable to catch him and the burglar ran away. I have attached a CCTV recording with the letter. It may prove useful to identify the suspect.
There have been quite a number of theft cases in our area for the past few weeks. Since it is a matter of our safety, I request to look into this matter and take the necessary action at the earliest. Looking forward to your kind assistance in this matter.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
Naresh Sharma
